Psycholinguistics in Flanders goes Dutch
Psycholinguistics in Flanders (PiF) has established itself as the conference of choice in the Low Countries for young psycholinguists (PhD students and young postdocs). Participants can present and discuss their work in talks or posters. To ensure that junior researchers and their work is given centre stage, senior researchers cannot give oral presentations, but are still very welcome to attend. Research in all domains of psycholinguistics is suitable for presentation at PiF. After many successful years in Belgium, PiF goes Dutch in 2012: It will be held in Berg en Dal, close to Nijmegen.
We are very pleased to announce two keynote speakers: Kathryn Bock (Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and Rasha Abdel Rahman (Department of Psychology, Humboldt University Berlin).

Call for Papers: Special Issue JECP
Submitted by rinusverdonschot on Wed, 31/08/2011 - 05:23Call for Papers - Special Issue: Early Rationality in Action Perception and Production?
A special issue of the Journal of Experimental Child Psychology (JECP),
guest-edited by Markus Paulus and Ildiko Kiraly, will be devoted to
empirical research articles investigating questions concerning early
rationality in action perception and production. Within recent years, the
question of early rationality in action perception and production has become
a topic of great interest in developmental psychology, comparative
psychology, and cognitive science. On the one hand, studies have provided
evidence for rational action perception and action imitation even in very
young infants. On the other hand, scholars have recently questioned these
interpretations and proposed that the ability to rationally evaluate actions
is not yet in place in infancy.
