Call for papers.

The NVP (Dutch Society for Psychonomics) is pleased to announce its 12th Winter Conference on Cognition, Brain, and Behaviour, to be held in Egmondaan Zee (the Netherlands) on December 18 and 19, 2009. This year's keynote speakers are: Edmund Rolls (Oxford Centre for Computational Neuroscience, UK) and Peter Hagoort (Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, Radboud University Nijmegen & Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, the Netherlands).

Submissions are accepted for talks (December 18 and 19) and for a poster presentation during a single poster session on December 18. Deadline for submissions is September 8, 2009. All talks (and abstracts) are in English. Please submit your abstract via the conference site: http://nvpcongres.eur.nl/

Location

The conference will be held in Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmondaan Zee, a seaside resort some 45 kilometersnorth-west of Amsterdam. A free bus will take attendants from Alkmaar train station (40 min. from Amsterdam Central) to the hotel on Friday, and back to the train station from the hotel on Saturday. The bus leaves from the bus parking (follow signs in train station) on Friday at 9:30. If you would like to go to Egmond at your own ease, please see instructions on the hotel website.

Registration packages

Several packages are possible (prices may still change and are for early bookers):

1. Standard package (conference fee, hotel night, breakfast, 2 x lunch, dinner)　　　 € 265

2. Standard package with shared room (as option 1, only with shared room) € 245

3. Student package (conference fee, night in shared room, breakfast, 2 x lunch, dinner)　　　 € 60

4. Only Friday December 18, no dinner (conference fee, 1 x lunch)　　　 € 75

5. Only Friday December 18, with conference dinner (conference fee, 1 x lunch, dinner)　　　 € 100

6. Only Saturday December 19 (conference fee, 1 x lunch)　　　 € 75

For attendees who prefer to arrive in Egmondaan Zee on the day before the conference, pre-conference nights can be booked for 30€ p.p, including breakfast.

To this must be added NVP membership dues for 2010, and dues for 2009 for current NVP members who have not yet paid their 2009 contribution. Membership is a pre-requisite, nonmembers attending the conference will automatically become members. The dues are as follows:

a. Contribution Seniors 　　 € 25

b. Contribution Doctoral candidates　　　 € 15

c. Contribution Undergraduate / Master Students 　　 € 0 (free membership)
